The business block was built in the mid 1960s and was the site of a former residence converted into apartments. The houses that occupied the sight were razed to make way for much needed retail and professional office space. This building contained four separate store units. #21, #23, #25 and #27 Barnard St.

Izzy’s Emporium opened the first sore at #25 Barnard in 2004-2008 and then moved down to # 21 Barnard. Izzy's closed in 2017 after 40 years in operation
