Porter Livingston of Tewksbury, MA sold this 8acre 69 poles pasture to Hannah B. Shedd for $125. on Oct. 8, 1859. The deed recorded Jan. 20, 1860. Hannah Brown Shedd, single daughter of Silas & Polly (Brown) Shedd had the home built sometime between 1860 and 1868. Hannah sold one undivided half of the property, with her homestead house, to he sister-in-law Susan D. Shedd, wife of Charles O. Shedd on Sept. 24, 1868. Susan Shedd paid $400. From this point onward both owned the property together.

The 1872 map clearly marks this home as H. & S. Shedd. The H. is for Hannah B. Shedd and the S. is for Susan D. Shedd. The 1900 Valuation schedule lists Hannah Shedd - Osgood District, 1/2 house $300. barn $150, 3 acres land $125 ad 2 1/2 acre Fleming land.
