Historical Narrative: 

88 - 90 North Main St. Randall A. Hurley House built 1897

The house lot was purchased in 1895 by Charles E. Torrey from Lewis T. Hardy & Joseph Cole of Hardy & Cole Company who had who purchased the “Low Estate” in 1892.

April 19, 1895 A.T. “Hardy & Cole have sold a lot of land next to the Low house on Main Street to Charles Torrey, of Marland Village, who it is understood, expects to build soon” Torrey was a carpenter and lived at 20 Marland St. (now Stevens St.) Torrey never built, but sold his lot to Randall A. Hurley on March 16, 1897. The two family house was constructed during the spring of 1897.
First tenants; John Horan & wife are living at #90 in 1897. Horan was foreman of sewers.
