10 -12 Dale Street

Architectural Description:

NRDIS NRMRA

Historical Narrative:

A two family side by side dwelling once occupied a portion of this site. The house was a symmetrical wooden structure, one and a half stories with and ell on both the south and north ends of the main house. The house sat back from the current tine of Dale Street and a very large boarding house, located across the street, forced the road to bend around it then straightened out between numbers 18 and 19 Dale St. storage buildings.

Another old double home was located just north of this home and was also razed prior to the construction of the Ballardvale Crossing Condominium built in 2004. This current condo building #10 now occupies both lots of the former homes at 10 - 12 Dale St. and 14 - 16 Dale St.
