Historical Narrative: 

This home was built by Hardy & Cole, Andover contractors. The parcel was transferred to Joseph F. Cole from Lewis T. Hardy in September 1916. The property was purchased by Nathan C. & Ruth R. Hamblin on July 30, 1920.

Nathan Chipman Hamblin was the beloved principal of Punchard High School from August 1910 to June 1941, serving 31 years, the longest of any high school principal in the Andover Public Schools.
