Architectural Description:
Colonial Revival home follows the design of some of the homes built in Shawsheen Village between 1918-1926.
Historical Narrative:
This home was built about 1938 and was once part of the Trow homestead at 119 Lowell St, an 11 acre parcel of land.
The land was developed by William A.Trow in 1938. Trow was the owner of 119 Lowell Street and later moved to 31 Lowell when his wife Amy inherited the Battles Homestead.
This home was rented as income property prior to being sold. In 1943 Robert B. & Hilda Crocket resides at 117 Lowell St. Robert wass in trucking in Lawrence, MA. After the death of William Trow on Nov. 20, 1949, his wife Florence sold the property to J. Donovan & Rosamond E. Emery on Dec. 20, 1951.
Charles W. & Constance Smyth then purchased the home on Apr. 15, 1954 and owned for 25 years. Smyth sold to
Nicholas A. & Donna Milley on Oct. 10, 1979.
