Historical Narrative:
This property was owned by Timothy Bailey in 1848. Bailey sold the parcel to Benjamin B. Allen on May 4, 1848 for $50. Allen then had the house built. on March 29, 1849 Allen sells one have of the house and property to Daniel Webster of Windham, NH for $150. The deed states the following ".....a line through the centre of the middle of my house to the road as as aforesaid & dividing the above described lot from that this day mortgage by me to to Charles P. Bailey, together with so much of my house, excepting the front bedroom in the second story of said house as stands on the northerly side of said line and intending here to convey to said Webster, so much of the back bedroom in the attic, as lies southerly of the line aforesaid." ......
In 1857 a George C. & Ester Webster convey the property to Charles P. Bailey & Otis Bailey of North Andover on Apr. 29, 1857 for $200. The Bailey heirs would sell the property to
David Salmond, wife Mary on Aug. 5, 1873. Salmond also purchased the property to the north, now 153-155 Andover St. in August 1873.
