Historical Narrative:
Themes: Architectural, community development
This property was once owned by Cornelius A. Wood and the lot was sold to Adeline S. Norton of Auburn, Maine on May 27, 1941. The plot map #1310 shows the lot but no structures on the property. The deed however states with buildings. There are listed the deed restrictions in place at the time of sale, as to the type of structures that could be built, those excluded and the users of the property. Adeline S. Norton, widow of Guy Norton appears to have built the home.
In July 1957 she sells to her daughter Edith Webster and her husband Alvin S. Webster. Sadly Alvin died a few years later and Edith Webster then sold to William M. & Paulette Foley on Sept. 21, 1962.
