This house was built for Robert Dunn and wife Jessie (Ferrier) by brother-in-law S. Abbott Batchelder in 1950. Abbott's wife Helen Ferrier was a sister to Jessie.

ROBERT I. DUNN, b. December 31, 1921, in Somerville, MA, son of Daniel and Mary (Murphy) Dunn of Somerville, MA m. May 9, 1943 to Jessie MacMillan Ferrier, b. April 1, 1922, in Andover, MA, daughter of Andrew and Elizabeth (Bisset) Ferrier of Andover, MA. Robert, known as Bob to his family, was first employed with the Tyer Rubber Company and later the New England Telephone Company as an installer until his retirement. He served in the Army Air Corps during WWII. Bob was a member of the American Legion, the Telephone Pioneers. He loved to sing, music, sports, and playing cards. They resided at 261 Andover Street, Ballardvale Andover, MA. Jessie worked as a crossing guard for the Andover Police Department for 23 years. After retirement they sold their home to granddaughter and her husband, Sherry E. & Timothy J. Kirby. Bob & Jessie bought a condominium at Washington Park, North Main Street, Andover. Robert died September 29, 2003 and is interred at Spring Grove Cemetery Andover, MA.
