On November 14, 1846 Sarah H. Harding sells her half of the house on the east side #8 to Hannah Barker. Sarah was the daughter of John & Sarah (Houghton) Harding. Sarah's father John Harding was born in1769 and died on Dec. 28, 1827. His wife Sarah Houghton b.1769 was the daughter of Thomas Houghton (1730-1797) and Elizabeth Taylor (1737-1800). John and Sarah Harding had eight children; Thomas Houghton b. Feb. 13, 1797, Mary Ann b. Dec. 25, 1798, Sarah Hickson. b. Mar. 16, 1800 - d. 1869, Charlotte Stroud b. June 16, 1802, John Jr. b. June 27, 1804 d. 1893, Catherine b. June 20, 1807 d. 1821 James Friend b. Aug. 12, 1810 and Samuel Houghton b. May 10, 1814 d. May 31, 1814.

Sarah H. was an Abolitionists, and a charter member of the Free Christina Church in 1845. In the 1850 Census Sarah now 49, lists her real estate value at $1000. Her niece Josephine Harding age 17, born about 1833 in Conn. is living with her and attending school. On April 15, 1858 Josephine married Curtis M. Baldwin, age 30 a shoe maker, (cordwainer) at the Free Church. Josephine lists her parents as Thomas & Eliza Harding. Curtis was born in Greenfield, NH, son of Ziba & Chloe Eliza (Morse) Curtis. In 1860 Sarah Harding is living with the Baldwins. Next door were Ebenezer & Julia Clark and daughter Laura. Hannah Barker, age 50, who purchased the house from Sarah was also living with the Clarks. In 1865 Mass. Census Sarah had moved in with the Clarks. Sarah died in 1867 and is interred at South Church Cemetery with her parents, two siblings, and the Houghton family.

Hannah Barker held the property for 34 years selling to Mary M. Burtt, wife of Henry Burtt on Oct. 26, 1880. The Burtt family owned for 39 years before selling to William A. G. Kidd and wife Charlotte in Mar. 1919. Four years later Kidd sold to Andrew & Bella Hamilton on Mar. 2, 1923.. Andrew died on March 19, 1951 and Bella inherited the the house from his estate. Bella put the house in both her name and son Robert S. Hamilton in April 1951. The Hamiltons had a Day Care business in their home for many years. The Hamilton family and heirs owned for 85 years until July 2008 when it was sold to Kathryn Gublin & Wayne Feldman. They owned just 5 years selling in 2013 to Evan C. Michaels.

The west side of the house #6 was owned by Thomas H. Harding, brother of Sarah H. Harding. He sold to Curtis M. Baldwin and wife Josephine F. (Harding) Baldwin on Nov. 2, 1868. Curtis Baldwin was a cordwainer, They had two children, Frank H. b. 1861 and Clara J. b. 1868. Bladwin owned for eleven years before selling to John S. Harnden and wife Catherine in Sept. 1879. Curtis Baldwin died March 14, 1896.

On Oct. 1, 1896 Henry & Emma Seacole became the owners. The Seacole family held the property for 72 years before selling to Frederick G. & Virginia Ramsey on Nov. 8, 1968. The Ramsey family continue as owners in 2014 after 45 years.
