This property was once part of a larger land parcel owned by Helen F. & Chalmers P. Dyke and extended along Ballardvale Rd. and northward along Sunset Rock Rd. Lot 4C on Land Court Certificate #1116 was sold to Ralph N. C. Barnes, wife May E., on May 9, 1922. Barnes then built a home on the south portion of the property at 72 Sunset Rock. Ralph's wife May died on March 8, 1937. Ralph continued to live in the home and is listed as a farmer in 1943. Barnes then sold on Sept. 24, 1946 to George Henry & Alice B. Moore of Somerville, MA.

George H. Moore died on March 2, 1951 and his widow Alice then sold the property to Donald P. & Grace E. Hayes on June 8, 1951. (plan #4662-F). Hayes sub-divided the lot in November 1954, Land Court Plan 4162-U lot #21 and sold the 1.55 acre parcel to Sidney R. & Rhoda N. Zussman of North Andover on Jan. 28, 1955.

Sidney & Rhoda May hired TAC to design and build the contemporary style home. Sidney b. 1922 was a Salesman and Dealer and Rhoda b. 1926 a housewife & secretary. The Zussmans raised three sons in the home. Henry R. b. 1952, graduated from Andover High School in 1971, Peter E. b. 1954 AHS 1973 and Daniel R. b. 1957. Zussman owned the home for 43 years then selling in 1998 to Edward D. & Jill C. Kutchin.

The current home on the site was built in 2001. The Zussman home was razed.
