The home was razed for the construction of "Windgate" Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility in 1991 - 1992.
Gordon B. & Margaret Grant purchased the property on Jan. 14, 1919. The 1920 Valuation Schedule for Gordon B. & Margaret Grant - House $900., barn $200, 2.75 acres $300, 2.5 acres $200. and 1 acre Shaw lot $100. Gordon is listed as a farmer. The numbering of Andover St. has changed and this home was once #148 and later changed to #80 Andover Street in 1959. The 1943 directory lists Gordon & Margaret with Gordon B. Jr. US Army Air Corps, Charles H. US Navy and Jeanette M. Grant a nurse in Boston.
After the death of his wife Margaret, Gordon Grant sold the property to Ruth G. Muller, wife of Herbert on Dec. 15, 1950. The Muller family, which included three sons: William, Richard and James lived here for 18 years then moved to Hemlock Lane. Muller sold to Angelo G. & Doris Sciuto on May 31, 1968. Sciuto owned for 23 years. They signed an option to sell in 1988 and the sale was concluded with Continental Healthcare V. Limited Partnership on Apr. 4, 1991.
The Windgate Health facility of 123 rooms on 4.25 acres was developed shortly after.
