96 North Main St. “Moynihan- Daly House” built 1896
This property was once part of the Joseph Low estate at 70 North Main Street from 1820-1892. The Low property was purchased by builders Lewis T. Hardy & Joseph Cole of Hardy & Cole Company. They subdivided the estate and sold off lots along No. Main Street.
The lot was purchased by Mrs. Margaret Moynihan, wife of Cornelius on May 20, 1896 from Lewis T. Hardy & Joseph Cole. The Moynihan family included; Daniel J., and Michael T. employed at Marland Mills, Jeremiah – Stevens Mills, John & William – Tyer Rubber Co., Mary – Marland Mills and Catherine & Anastasia Moynihan. The Moynihan estate was inherited by Catherine, Anastasia & Mary Moynihan on May 18 1896.

John & Ellen Daly purchased the house on June 18, 1912 and remained with the Daly family until 1964. In 1961 Julia Daly lived on one side and Leo & Laura Lynch lived in the rental apartment.
C. Lincoln Giles, an architect and builder in Andover in the mid 1950s-1970's purchased the property on Jan. 18, 1963.
Giles renovated the property converted it into three units. Giles also developed the Nathan Frye House at 166 North Main and created the Old Andover Village shopping area at 87- 95 Man St.
Frederick & Marlene Petersen purchased the property on Aug. 16, 1965 and were owner occupied landlords until 1975when they sold to Victor J. & Catherine Smotrich in Oct. 1975.
Larry & Nancy Larson then held the property for two years Aug.1984 - Dec. 1986. Bradley D & Joan V. Steele then bought the house on Dec. 12, 1986 and owned for 12 years.

Robert & Loretta Cavagnaro purchased the property on April 30, 1998. At that time they also acquired the small empty triangular lot at 124 North Main Street next to the bridge in May 1998 and annexed it to their property deed when they sold their property to Stonewake Acquisitions LLC in Mar. 27, 2006. The lot is now retained as part of the condo conversion of #96 and used as additional off street parking. Stonewake Acquisitions LLC converted the house into four condominiums in 2006.
