Architectural Description:
The Georgian Revival double house; contains 14 rooms 7 bedrooms and fout baths. It currently is a three family home.
Historical Narrative:
The double house was designed by architect James E. Allen of Lawrence for William M. Wood. The homes on North Main Street were some of the first to be constructed in the new planned Shawsheen Village 1918 - 1924. The land was originally purchased by Henry P. Binney for the American Woolen Company, and its president William M. Wood. Binney deeded all the acquired property to the AMCo. on Dec. 30, 1920. The homes were to be sold or rented through the Homestead Association, a subsidiary arm the the AWCo.
